VAN GOGH AND THE OLIVE TREES<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The thousand-year-old olive tree, with its sinuous shapes, its characteristic \u201cknotted\u201d trunk and its thick green foliage: the predilection for this precious plant today unites Monini with the work of one of the most famous painters of all time, Vincent van Gogh<\/strong>. The olive tree is in fact the subject of many masterpieces dedicated to nature from the Proven\u00e7al period of the master of post-impressionism.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The exhibition \u201cVan Gogh and the Olive Groves<\/strong>\u201d is dedicated to 15 of these masterpieces, hosted from 11 March to 12 June 2022<\/strong> at the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam<\/strong> and created with the support of Monini. An international initiative that celebrates Van Gogh\u2019s fascination with the olive tree as a powerful symbol which for the artist perfectly embodies man\u2019s bond with nature.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The result is a limited edition on which to admire the famous \u201cSelf-portrait with a straw hat<\/strong>\u201d (1887), in which Van Gogh \u2013 always fascinated by nature and seems to invite us to look at the landscape with his eyes -, and two paintings dedicated to nature , the \u201cOlive Grove<\/strong>\u201d (1889), on display in Amsterdam, and the masterful \u201cIris Field near Arles<\/strong>\u201d (1888).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
